Aaron and 4 sons are priests
What is a priest?
First and foremost, the priests are to serve as mediators between God and humanity.
As priests and representatives of a holy God, Aaron and his sons participate in the holiness of the tabernacle and are held to strict standards of ritual purity (Lev.
21:1–22:16).
In addition to their ceremonial duties, such as offering sacrifices and caring for the place of worship, they act as judges (Deut.
17:8–13), dispense blessings (Num.
6:22–27), give oracles (Num.
27:21), and teach God’s rules and instructions to the people (Deut.
33:10).

A major theme of the law given by God is holiness.

You do not come into God’s presence in common clothes, but holy clothes, clothes that have been set apart for that purpose.
Why don’t we do this today?

We are not holy because of what we where, we are holy because of Jesus blood.

To stay in covenant (right relationship) with God required twice daily sacrifices.

I like the translation of this particular verse.
Jesus is the better sacrifice.
But not only that...
Jesus is the better priest.
He is the better representative to take our sin upon his shoulders
He is the better representative to stand before God on our behalf
He is the better representative because even though he was tempted as we are in every way, he is without sin.

True rest comes from knowing we have an advocate with the Father.
True rest comes because we have a true sacrifice.
True rest comes because Jesus.

What you believe determines if you will live with peace or with NOT peace.
Kingdom of Priests
We all have the type of access to God that was previously reserved for priests
We are a type of priest to the world in the sense that we are representatives of God to the world
We hold the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven
We hold the gospel of truth, which is access to God
We are ambassadors for Christ
