2 Timothy 3:15–17 AV 1873
15 and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 17 that the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary is, “the stimulation within the mind of some idea, feeling, or impulse which leads to creative action; a divine or holy presence which inspires; the act of inhaling air.”
Inspiration in this text is the Greek word “θεόπνευστος  thĕŏpnĕustŏs,” which means “God breathed” and carries the sense of someone physically breathing out of the lungs.

Obeying The Bible Is Obeying God

Since every word of the Bible is inspired by God. Every part of the Bible is equally God’s Word and authoritative for faith and practice. The Christian can be confident that obeying the Bible is in turn obeying God Himself. Furthermore, disobeying the Bible is disobeying God and has consequences that will one day be dealt. Believers will be judged by how they obey Scripture.
