The scariest of moments in most everyone’s life is when they feel they are not in control.

The New King James Version (Chapter 6)
Luke 6:45  A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks
It is in those moments that we are most afraid not being in control, yet we will in a moments notice relinquish that control for momentary pleasure.
Our actions denotes our allegiance !
Many times it doesn’t matter what comes out of our mouth, what is in our spirit will show the truth.
The old adage “Actions speak louder than words.” shows or reveals more truth than we will ever tell.
Jesus teaching the parable of the mote shows exactly how we attempt to get the focus on someone else rather than on us.
Adam and Eve in the garden

3 Now the serpent was more crafty than any other ⌊wild animal⌋ which Yahweh God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God indeed say, ‘You shall not eat from any tree in the garden’?” 2 The woman said to the serpent, “From the fruit of the trees of the garden we may eat, 3 but from the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, God said, ‘You shall not eat from it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die’.” 4 But the serpent said to the woman, “You shall not surely die. 5 For God knows that on the day you both eat from it, then your eyes will be opened and you both shall be like gods, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food and that it was a delight to the eyes, and the tree was desirable to make one wise, then she took from its fruit and she ate. And she gave it also to her husband with her, and he ate. 7 Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked. And they sewed together fig leaves and they made for themselves coverings.

satan tries to determine your beliefs, attempting to get you in a position to make you believe you are missing out on something

7 For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

if the enemy can control your beliefs, he will control what you believe.

8 He stood and called to the battle lines of Israel and said to them, “Why have you come out to form ranks for battle? Am I not the Philistine, and you the servants of Saul? Commission for yourselves a man and let him come down to me. 9 If he is able to fight with me and he defeats me, then we will be your servants; but if I prevail over him and defeat him, then you will be our servants and you will serve us.” 10 Then the Philistine said, “I hereby defy the battle lines of Israel today! Give me a man so that we may fight each other!” 11 When Saul and all Israel heard these words of the Philistine, they were dismayed and very afraid.

If he can dictate the battle, he will have you trying to fight his way and not God’s way.
Judas Iscariot
if we are not careful, then we will find ourselves overconfident.
Judas walked with Jesus was called by Christ to be a disciple, yet while he walked with the Savior his heart became cold towards God.

26 Jesus answered, “It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it.” And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, “What you do, do quickly.”
