1 Samuel 15:28 ESV

28 And Samuel said to him, “The Lord has torn the kingdom of Israel from you this day and has given it to a neighbor of yours, who is better than you.

2nd time Samuel reminds Saul that God is giving the kingdom of Israel to someone else.

He is your neighbor

he is better

how can you not be jealous if God says it???

English Standard Version Chapter 16

for I have provided for myself a king among his sons

God didn’t tell Samuel which one of David’s son’s would be king.

Why does God sometimes not give us all the details?
