Psalm 23:2 ESV
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
1. He makes me....
The Tension of God making me...
Remember he is your shepherd.. anything he makes you do is for your benefit.
2. Lie down.
The Shepherd leads you to rest.
This means we have a tendency to need to be led to stop.
3. Leads me to water.
What is water?
necessary for life.
cleansing.
still water is peaceful.
Prayer:
Declare: God I give you control of my life… You can make me do whatever you want.
Ask: Where do I need to slow down?
Small Group Questions?
Do you struggle to submit to Gods leading?
Why would God “Make You” do something?
Where do you need to slow down in life?
Do you rest in ways that are not seeking God (ie. Video Games)
How can you seek God, and find time to rest this week?
