First off, I would like to thank my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for saving me from my sins and allowing me to be in the position that I am in today.
As a young man I struggled in school.
When I was in the first grade I could barely read, and I was failing all my classes because of this.
After furthering testing I was told that I had Dyslexia.
My parents then promptly enrolled me in special therapy and tutoring with the purpose of retraining my brain to read properly.
This therapy was quite expensive so my father took it upon himself to learn how to help me himself.
This resulted in hours upon hours of sitting in his office with him training me on how to read.
Now many parents would have hated having to take the time to do all of this, however, I never heard my dad complain once.
In fact this time we got to spend together developed the incredible relationship that we have today, and is one of the many reasons he is not only my father, but my best friend.
So dad, I would like to thank you publicly for being the most Godly example of a man that could have ever had
Next I would like to thank my mother who has always supported me and enabled me to be the best person I can be.
She has always pushed me to grow and study and to achieve.
Over the past two years as I watched you go back to college it was inspiring to see your work ethic and the drive you had to be a full time college student and a mom all at once.
Thank you mom for being the best mother anyone could ever ask for, you are truly a blessing
To Myranda, being your younger brother has been one of the hardest things and most joyful things I have ever gotten to experience.
Following you through High school taking all the same teachers seemed like an impossible task.
Your brains created giant shoes to fill.
However, you were always a big sister who cared for me and watched out for me.
You are one of the most Godly people I know.
Now you graduated FSU not too long ago and you graduated with high honors, but you didn’t get to walk at your graduation due to COVID, well today I walk for both of us.
Thank You Myranda
To my wife,
Thank you for being my number 1 cheerleader in through college.
Marrying you was the best decision I have ever made in my entire life.
You are the sweetest most loving companion that I could ever have and I thank God that he has blessed me with you.
Thank you Claire, I love you.
To Trinity College
Thank you for giving me a strong biblical foundation for my education.
I will forever cherish the relationships that I have made with my fellow students and professors.
This institution will forever have a special place in my heart.
