Lead Off Question

Have you ever gone the wrong direction? Anyone?

Illustration

The time my dad drove into oncoming traffic for a while.

Transition

Some of us are driving head first into oncoming traffic and while we know it is the wrong direction, we would rather have a collision than make an effort ourselves and own up to something.

Bottom Line

Your persistence shows your pursuit.

Bible Verse

James 4:8–10 NIV
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.
James 4:8 NIV
Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

* We choose who we follow.

Breakdown

It is our choice to turn towards God or run farther away from Him. As believers we are supposed to crave Jesus, but instead too many of us have allowed this world to water down our faith and our passion for Jesus. And why, because what they sell online appears more satisfying than what this world has told you of Jesus.

Bottom Line

Your persistence shows your pursuit.

Bottom Line

Your persistence shows your pursuit.
