Transition
Some of us this morning are thinking, if my husband would just treat me one night; if my wife would just let me have my one night; if my kids would just do what I ask them to do the first; if my pastors would just listen; if my church would just care… and we think that if someone would just do something for us then we would experience more joy.
We have bought into this idea that we are missing out on more joy because people around us won’t step us and serve us.
But church, that is not what Scripture tells us, rather, that is what culture and social media feed us.
A life full of giving and serving will experience the joy of God.
We were called to live a life of joy; not worry.
Worry is simply a town that you pass through, not a place to build your house.
And in order to find that life of joy we are actually called to give it away to his ministry!
Wow, if that isn’t counter-cultural.
Bottom Line
A life full of giving and serving will experience the joy of God.
