What is a common thread in motherhood?

What prompted me to consider this common thread is actually Hebrews 7:27, which is a passage that is not speaking about motherhood at all, but rather about Jesus Christ being the One through whom we can draw near to God, but why?

A Common Thread with Jesus

There are four words that reveal three principles. He offered up himself.

“He” tells us that what Jesus did to save is very personal.

“Offered” tells us that Jesus actively did this. Jesus was pro-active.

“Himself”, in the context of this verse, tells us that He was a proxy (a substitionary sacrifice).

These three words, within this verse, tell us that Jesus is a personal, pro-active Proxy, and it is this quality that often stands out about good mothers. Good mothers tend to be personal, pro-active, and sacrificial.

This particular quality of being personal, pro-active, and a proxy is not unique to only one mother, but is often the way good mothers are remembered.

Answer: The common thread is that good mothers are personal, proactive; and good mothers are willing to offer themselves on behalf of their children.

What is the source of the common thread in motherhood?

In order to identify the source, we should consider whether it is only in the drinking water of people you know. If not, then we need to expand our understanding of the Source.

Is good motherhood (personal, proactive, and proxy) exclusive to mothers in the United States?

Then, we must conclude that these qualities are Universal.

Is good motherhood (personal, proactive, and proxy) exclusive to the 21st Century?

Then, we must conclude that these qualities are Timeless.

Is good motherhood (personal, proactive, and proxy) exclusive to a particular socio-economic status?

Then, we must conclude that these qualities are Priceless.

So, if these qualities are universal, timeless, and priceless, we should consider that the Source must be universal, timeless, and priceless. It is only reasonable that we consider that the Source is beyond mere humanity.

How can we be certain that this is the source of this common thread in motherhood?
