Scripture
A Psalm of David.
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters.
He restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness
for his name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies;
you anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
all the days of my life,
and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord
forever.

My Story
We have been fostering children for about 6 years and needed bunk beds…
Hear this quote of Zig Ziggler,
“Grief is the price you pay for loving someone.”
but even in that grief
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted;
he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.
another passage says
That Father bends down low to listen to us.
Song for worshippers
Lord I Lift Your Name on High
Turn Your Eyes on Jesus
Maybe you are here with great love for Beverly…
You could be here because you loved Beverly yet you have resenting in your last words or regret how your relationship ended?
For me, I missed calling her the two days before Rick called with the news.
you may ask yourself…
do I harbor that feeling and let it snowball? or
do ask Father to forgive me and release those feelings to him.
God loves Beverly and he loves you and me. Thus, we must trust him with the details
Trust in the Lord with all your heart;
do not depend on your own understanding.
Listen to what God says… Beverly is —
She is a child of God
the redeemed of the Lord
a royal priesthood
she was called out of darkness and into his marvelous light
she was blessed coming and going
she was a worshipper
Made in his image
and just as God is creative Beverly was creative too.
Paul said, “to be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord.”
YES OUR HEARTS ARE BROKEN but
Isaiah wrote…
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
Lets pray… Dear Father
1 Corinthians 15:54–57 (NLT)
Death is swallowed up in victory.
O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?*”
For sin is the sting that results in death, and the law gives sin its power. But thank God! He gives us victory over sin and death through our Lord Jesus Christ.
We thank you for Jesus
We than you for Beverly and her having faith in Christ that we may see her again in your presence.
Now Father, be with these today as they start their journey, a time of mourning as we grab all of the memories of our dear sister and share them one to another as Jesus endured the cross for the joy on the other side. In Jesus Name amen.
12:30pm Interment Service at Ft. Gibson
Psalm 46:1–3 (NLT)
God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
So we will not fear when earthquakes come
and the mountains crumble into the sea.
Let the oceans roar and foam.
Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!
Interlude
Psalm 46:7 (NLT)
The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel* is our fortress.
Interlude
Psalm 46:10 (NLT)
“Be still, and know that I am God! ...”
“I crochet so I don’t unravel.”
Life is uncertain
No guarantees about tomorrow.
Our lives are busy weaving a pattern similar to a crochet baby’s blanket.
A pattern that is unique and made by the master.
Even before we knew our outcome Father prepared a victorious way through Jesus his son.
Jesus demonstrated power over death then
Jesus overcome his own death through his own resurrection.
God has even prepared a way for comfort for our sorrow.
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
May we be found in days to come to trust in the pattern Father as prepared for our lives so we don’t unravel.
Let’s pray…
