Before Resurrection Sunday had been in , Our Fortress, Our Strong tower, Our Rock, Refuge

God will use His word to gather us or form us in a path to that place of Refuge in Him

Last week the Lord had shown us in His word… state of the mind of the world / the renewing of the mind of the Christ follower

We as followers of Christ are warned “be not deceived”

2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

These influences and pressures are external and our best and only great defense as followers of Jesus comes from the internal

The influences of this world come from the gods of the nations, they are real, they are not just carved or molten images

The worldly forces of influence the bible teaches us all come from the spirit great harlot Babylon (referred as her) We will see from Isaiah, Revelation and so on as truth

As we go through the next weeks and months, the Lord’s desire is to have us very aware and to be His people of discernment as we walk in everyday life

Before we go farther, lets reflect back to Matthew 24 where Jesus has been asked by His disciples when will the end come? Context - Jesus had come in on Palm Sunday......these are the points we have covered so far that Jesus said would take place for us to know where we are at in biblical timeline.

See to it no one misleads you

Wars and rumors of wars

Nation against nation / kingdom against kingdom

Famines and earthquakes - beginning of birth pangs

We - delivered to tribulation, killed, hated because His name

Many will fall away and hate each other, lawlessness increase, love grow cold

Those who endure to the end will be saved

Gospel preached to all the nations - then the end come

These are important points, don’t be mislead, (deceived other areas of scripture, many fall away, endure to the end) Do we as followers of Christ really need to be that careful and that alert these days.........how about this one, “do I really need to grow spiritually or have my spirit fed into by The Spirit of God?’

Put ourselves in the habitation of God, in the presence of God. These things give us a great advantage to war against the deceptive ways of the world

Last week we saw the examples as God’s people Isreal and their Egypt experience
