Jude 1-7

Judas was possibly a brother of Jesus, but more importantly a spiritual servant to Jesus
Mercy, peace, and love should be evident in our lives and overflowing from it
Our salvation should unite
What does it mean to contend?
How should we contend?
Go back to verse 2
Verse 4. The devil is always trying to plant agents within the church. So he can hit it from the outside and the inside
Verse 5. You have a decision. Will you choose to live a life that honors God or dishonors God?
Who determines our position and limits?
Acts 17:26–31 ESV
And he made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet he is actually not far from each one of us, for “ ‘In him we live and move and have our being’; as even some of your own poets have said, “ ‘For we are indeed his offspring.’ Being then God’s offspring, we ought not to think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man. The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead.”
If you die unsaved the consequences are eternal, not temporary
What do you know about Sodom and Gomorrah?

Jude 8-13

When we stray from the path God gives us we begin to rely to heavily on our own dreams
When we rely on the idol of dreams:
We defile ourselves
Reject God’s authority and disrespect human authority

How did Michael respond to the devil? What should we learn from this?
What is the way of Cain?
Balaam’s error
Greed
Deuteronomy 23:4–5 ESV
because they did not meet you with bread and with water on the way, when you came out of Egypt, and because they hired against you Balaam the son of Beor from Pethor of Mesopotamia, to curse you. But the Lord your God would not listen to Balaam; instead the Lord your God turned the curse into a blessing for you, because the Lord your God loved you.
Korah’s rebellion
Numbers 16
Korah led others in speaking against Moses and called all holy with no distinction. Was swallowed up by the ground.
Own shame: your own actions will forever haunt you if you go unrepentant
V. 13- eternal punishment is reinforced here again

Jude 14-16

what comes out of peoples moths tells you a lot about their hearts
Luke 6:45 ESV
The good person out of the good treasure of his heart produces good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure produces evil, for out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
Does God need the ten thousand?
God enjoys using his creation
