There is a love for God’s work that is developed when you see the transformational power of God in someone else's life.
23 Who, when he came, and had seen the grace of God, was glad, and exhorted them all, that with purpose of heart they would cleave unto the Lord.
Do you want to see the grace of God on the lives of others.
16 Let thy work appear unto thy servants, And thy glory unto their children.
1. God Has A Forming Work
Jeremiah 18:2–4 (KJV 1900)
2 Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
2. God Has A Reproving Work
Jeremiah 2:19 (KJV 1900)
19 Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the Lord thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord God of hosts.
When we get off track it’s concerning
a. God uses their backsliding and wickedness to correct and reprove.

1 Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sin;
2 That he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh to the lusts of men, but to the will of God.
b. God uses pain, He uses suffering to teach us His will.
Health struggles teach the uncertainty in life
Suffering softens people to God’s word and will
c. God uses His goodness to lead us.

4 Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?
This is the Work of the Potter.
d. God teaches through sorrow
2 Corinthians 7:9–11 (KJV 1900)
9 Now I rejoice, not that ye were made sorry, but that ye sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner, that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
11 For behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.

God reveals adversity to show weakness
Every one has weakness,
God will bring adversity to show where we are weak
f. God uses the failures of others to instruct us.

25 Now his elder son was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard musick and dancing.
26 And he called one of the servants, and asked what these things meant.
27 And he said unto him, Thy brother is come; and thy father hath killed the fatted calf, because he hath received him safe and sound.
28 And he was angry, and would not go in: therefore came his father out, and intreated him.

Doing what you are supposed to do with the right spirit.

When God speaks to you from the pulpit you have an obligation to obey
h. God uses spiritual Christians to restore
1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
2 Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

i. God molds us through prayer

32 But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
Your brothers and sisters in Christ need prayer
We don’t talk about people that mess up to others, we talk to God in prayer on their behalf in intercessory prayer
God shows you the hurts of others so that you can pray for them
God enlarges His influence through you by reducing self influence.
He must increase, i must decrease
The potter knows what he wants each vessel to be used for
God enlarges our influence

7 Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the Lord of hosts, I took thee from the sheepcote, even from following the sheep, that thou shouldest be ruler over my people Israel:
God was developing his servant just as he’s developing you
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; And in thy book all my members were written, Which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Ephesians 2:10 (KJV 1900)
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
God has works He’s created you to accomplish for Him
God is enlarging your influence
Everything God gives you is for a purpose,
there is nothing unimportant
33 And Saul said to David, Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.
34 And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock:
35 And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.
36 Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.
37 David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee.
The paws are developing you for the hands
God has brought some of you through some tragedies
God is developing you
You are not out of the fight
you are not disqualified from the race
God purifies You

12 Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you:
13 But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ’s sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy.
God tempers
God solidifies
God prepares for the future battle
10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: Thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
God is using the trials as tools to purify and develop
It’s not always that God is correcting you for something when a hardship comes
God is developing you to do more
God Glorifies Jesus
What God has prepared and is preparing you for, Jesus will receive glory when you fulfil that work
Hebrews 13:21 (KJV 1900)
21 Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
None of you were created to not be involved in church
Everyone of God’s children were created for good works
God is working on you to work His will
31 Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.
23 The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord: And he delighteth in his way.
