Introduction
Introduction
John 11:25–26 (KJV 1900)
25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.
Body
Body
Cliche verse at funerals, and I was going to select another verse for that reason
But I felt like God kept bringing me back to this verse
Sandy’s life reflected the faith she had in Jesus Christ. She didn’t just SAY she believed in Him. She ACTED OUT her belief in Him.
1 I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.
2 The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
3 I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: So shall I be saved from mine enemies.
All those whose hope is in Jesus Christ, He said that though he were dead, yet shall he live.
The Bible teaches us that in this world we have no hope, but in Christ Jesus we have hope of everlasting life with HIm.
50 Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
We are separated from Sandy, but only temporarily. We will see her again.
Committal
Committal
Foreasmuch as it has pleased Almighty God, to take out of this world unto Himself the soul of Sandra Becker in her time of sickness, in her time of suffering, we therefore commit her soul to you who made her, and her body to the ground; earth to earth, ashes to ashes, dust to dust.
