The Holy Spirit is a person, not an inanimate object or an impersonal force. He does not have
physical form, but He is a personal being. He is person without a physical body. There
are five essential qualities of a personal being.
a) Cognitive: a person has the ability to think rationally.
b) Compassion: a person has the ability to feel emotionally.
c) Choice: a person has the ability to choose freely.
d) Communication: a person has the ability to speak relationally.
e) Conscience: a person has the ability to act morally.
God possesses all the qualities of personhood. He thinks, feels, chooses, speaks and
acts.
