Romans 13:8–14 NIV84
8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law. 9 The commandments, “Do not commit adultery,” “Do not murder,” “Do not steal,” “Do not covet,” and whatever other commandment there may be, are summed up in this one rule: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” 10 Love does no harm to its neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. 11 And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. 12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. 14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

1. Christianity is the way of life for believers

Our morals are tied to our faith
We worship God
Christianity expresses devotion to a way of life as prescribed by Scripture
Christianity if for everyday living
Eternal life comes through Christ and Christ alone
Jesus is John 14:6 “6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

2. Christianity in everyday living

Jesus was born in a manger
His dad was a carpenter
He was the oldest child, that comes with many obligations
Jesus taught everyday life lessons
Mt 13:3 “3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed.”
Working people
Mt 13:25 “25 But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.”
Haters will always be around
We have Jesus, we have everything we will ever need
Pay your debts
Love people
Live good lives

3. Relationships in the Christian life

Relationships are part of life
Relationships are both vertical and horizontal
Relationship with God
Relationships with man
We can’t have healthy relationships without first having a healthy relationship with God
God is the one who can mend broken hearts
When we are in a healthy relationship with God all others will follow suit
Husband love your wives will be possible
Wives submit to your husbands will be easier
Children obey your parents will be the norm
Our actions toward others
Estranged friend
Coworkers
Enemies
Family
Our relationship with God depends on Faith and Obedience

4. Live lives that are God-centered

Sinners know how Christians should behave
Be decent
The freaks come out at night
Let your light shine
People look to you for the moral standard
Live for God
Live such good lives that when people talk about you they will be ashamed for hating

5. Clothe yourself with the Lord Jesus Christ

Your outfit has been selected
How’s your fit
Don’t mess up the fit
Be the light in the midst of darkness
Be a God pleaser not a people pleaser
All the commands are fulfilled in one word—Love
Love does no harm to others
Love covers a multitude of sins
Love forgives all
Love never fails
