Opening Prayer
Opening Prayer
Heavenly Father, I am humbled as I enter into your presence in prayer. Reveal to me your will and your ways. May my life become a refelction of your words. Thank you for your love. Amen.
Psalm 3
Psalm 3
1 O Lord, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; 2 many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah 3 But you, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. 4 I cried aloud to the Lord, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah 5 I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me. 6 I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. 7 Arise, O Lord! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. 8 Salvation belongs to the Lord; your blessing be on your people! Selah
Saved from the Darkness
Saved from the Darkness
Life is overwheloming. Many are my foes— Sickness, Stress, Busyness, Pain, Hurt, Anxiety, Loss, Time, and Darkness.
The World tells me to give up, give in, and abandon hope. They say “There is no getting out alive.”
But I know the Truth and even if I can not feel or see you, you are with me. Protecting my life from the one who would destroy my life.
God lifts me up, he puts confidence in my heart, and joy on my face. He is not hidden away from me, he is not so high he cannot hear my please. He sends back words of promise and assurance of help.
I close my eyes in sleep remembering that it is the Lord and his ministering spirits who will watch over me. He gives Angels Charge over me while I sleep. I will wake up and still be in his presence.
I waited and watched and now God moves against all my foes. He knocks out the teeth of the devil, no more lies coming from his bloodied face!
God saved me and all of us from the darkest of nights!
Prayer
Prayer
Watch, O Lord, with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give Your angels and saints charge over those who sleep.
Tend Your sick ones, O Lord Christ.
Rest Your weary ones.
Bless Your dying ones.
Soothe Your suffering ones.
Pity Your afflicted ones.
Shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your love's sake. Amen.
