With Joy

Isaiah 12:3

“Therefore, with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”

This verse finds it’s obvious fulfillment in Christ!

"But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." (John 4:14, KJV)

[1]

"He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." "(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)" (John 7:38-39, KJV)

[2]

"But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me:" (John 15:26, KJV) [3]

I.                   Water symbolizes the refreshing of the Spirit of God.

A.    A balm of healing.

B.     An anchor of hope.

II.                Joy is the ladle we use to draw the water from the wells of salvation.

A.    We find then that joy regulates the flow of water.

It’s a matter of trust.

B.     We can also see that joy reflects true faith.

"And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full." (1 John 1:4, KJV) [4]
