 Matthew 4:18–22 (NIV) — 18 As Jesus was walking beside the Sea of
Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon called Peter and his brother Andrew.
They were casting a net into the lake, for they were fishermen.
19 “Come,
follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” 20 At once
they left their nets and followed him.
21 Going on from there, he saw two
other brothers, James son of Zebedee and his brother John.
They were in
a boat with their father Zebedee, preparing their nets.

1.“Follow me”= A disciple is one who follows
2.“I will make you” = A disciple is willing to be
changed
3.“fishers of men” = A disciple is committed to
the mission Christ gives them

To be changed = a life change of the heart
To begin fishing for men = a life change of
the hands

24 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for me will save it.
 A Disciple is a follower of Jesus Christ (come after me…)
