Matthew 7:7-14

Petition for God’s blessing (vs. 7-11)

God loves to bless his people. ( Proverbs 13:22, Matthew 5:1-8)

We must ask God according to his will. (Matthew 6:33, Romans 8:31-32 James 1:5)

Practice God’s commands (v. 12)

Jesus’ entire sermon was to show Israel the full intention of the “Law and Prophets”.

Why do we want to submit to God’s law? Because we want to love God and love people.

Prepare for God’s evaluation (vs.13-14)

Know that there is coming judgment.

The world needs the salvation found in Jesus Christ alone!
