Your boasting is not good. Do you not know that a little leaven leavens the whole lump of dough?
Not Boasting About Our Works for Salvation, Romans 4:2
For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.
Examining Your Own Works, Are They Worthy, Galatians 6:4
But each one must examine his own work, and then he will have reason for boasting in regard to himself alone, and not in regard to another.
Holding Fast in the Word of Life, Philippians 2:16
holding fast the word of life, so that in the day of Christ I will have reason to glory because I did not run in vain nor toil in vain.
Christ is our Confidence and Boast, Hebrews 3:6

Misunderstanding of the Progression of the Gospel
First to the Jews, Acts 2:5
Now there were Jews living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven.
Speaking in Tongues Was a Sign to the Jews, Acts 2:8

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message.
All the circumcised believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also.
For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered,
Then Unto the Samaritans - Who are Mixed Jews

Lastly to the Gentiles

His Determination to Come to Them, 2 Corinthians 1:17

Therefore, while determining this did I not then use any uncertainty? Or that which I determined, did I determine according to flesh in order that it should be from me, the yes, yes and the no, no?
Not done lightly

Therefore, being always of good courage, and knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord—
for we walk by faith, not by sight—
