so he hears about the faith and love coming from individuals
this time it’s Philemon
what he hears is the love he has toward Jesus and To the saints
before I knew really what biblical love is
I told God that I don’t love Him I knew that I should But don’t
and that concerned me
and then God started showing me what love is
my love for Him started also to grow
and my love for others grew
this love is a supernatural love
love for Jesus and the brother is a sign that one is a Christian
Paul is thankful for this because he sees the working of God in his life
The love for the saints
1 Corinthians 13.
we need to pray for those we are in conflict with
our faith and love for Jesus results in love for the rest of the body

Paul is encouraged when he sees the fruit of the gospel
the love that Philemon has for all of the saints
Paul is reminding Philemon of who he is in Christ
because Philemon is going to have to put all of these principals together when he accepts Onesimus as a brother
as we learn as we apply what we have learned
