Jeremiah 17:7–8 NASB95
“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord And whose trust is the Lord. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit.
Galatians 5:22–23 NASB95
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
John 15:5 NASB95
“I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.
Love (agape love) Sacrificial love
Love is the root to all the Spiritual fruits
What is the “golden rule” ?
“To Love your neighbor as yourself”
The Bible Exposition Commentary Chapter Ten: The Fifth Freedom (Galatians 5:13–26)

The amazing thing about love is that it takes the place of all the laws God ever gave. “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself” solves every problem in human relations (see Rom. 13:8–14). If you love people (because you love Christ), you will not steal from them, lie about them, envy them, or try in any way to hurt them. Love in the heart is God’s substitute for laws and threats.

Sacrificing sinful behaviors, and turning that into spiritual fruit
Love
Joy
Joy is found in knowing Jesus Christ and serving others. Assurance of Salvation
Peace
Having the fruit of peace means that you trust God is in control. when you can be at peace in very difficult circumstances is evidence that your becoming more like Jesus
Patience
Having patience means you are willing to wait for God to guide you in all your decisions. When we are patient with others we able to stay calm. this make a big difference in the lives we touch.
James 1:12 NLT
God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
Kindness
kindness is best translated in the NT term “grace”
Jesus said;
Luke 6:35 NASB95
“But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men.
‘Kindness can be the tool to lead a sinner back to God’.
Goodness
It is a deliberate preference to chose right over wrong, to be firm and persistent to resist all moral evil.
james 1.17 “Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.”
What comes from God? Every good thing given and every perfect gift. Don’t blame God when bad things happen, sin doesn’t come from Him. So when you face temptation, run to God.
Here is the reality, whatever that sin offers you, God has something far better. A heavenly perfect gift.
Faithfulness
Being someone in whom complete confidence can be placed—‘trustworthiness, dependability, faithfulness
FAITHFULNESS - dependability, loyalty, and stability.
God is described as the Faithful one (Rev. 19:11)
the "faithful witness" (Rev. 1:5; 3:14)
the "faithful High Priest" (Heb. 2:17; 3:2)
God’s faithfulness is the source of the Christian’s
Deliverance from temptation (1 Cor. 10:13)
Assurance of salvation (Heb. 10:23)
Forgiveness of sins (1 John 1:9)
He is faithful to His children because He is first of all faithful to Himself (2 Tim. 2:13).
God’s faithfulness should be so deeply reflected in the lives of His people (Gal. 5:22) that they can be called simply "the faithful" (Ps. 31:23).
Faithfulness is expected to be found in Christian believers.
Daniel and other persons in the Bible exercised their faithfulness toward God (Dan. 6:1-4 “It seemed good to Darius to appoint 120 satraps over the kingdom, that they would be in charge of the whole kingdom, and over them three commissioners (of whom Daniel was one), that these satraps might be accountable to them, and that the king might not suffer loss. Then this Daniel began distinguishing himself among the commissioners and satraps because he possessed an extraordinary spirit, and the king planned to appoint him over the entire kingdom. Then the commissioners and satraps began trying to find a ground of accusation against Daniel in regard to government affairs; but they could find no ground of accusation or evidence of corruption, inasmuch as he was faithful, and no negligence or corruption was to be found in him.”
2 Tim. 2:2
A steward must be found faithful 1 Cor. 4:2
Gentleness
Gentleness of attitude and behavior, in contrast with harshness in one’s dealings with others—‘gentleness, meekness, mildness of disposition, having a gentle.’
‘not being harsh with people, for example, ‘always speaking softly to’ or ‘not raising one’s voice.’
Self-control - Temperance
There is a word translated “temperate” nēphalios caries the idea to drinking.
The precise reference of nēphalios, ‘temperate’, is to drunkenness, and the word is actually opposed to ‘drunkard’ in 1 Tim. 3:2–3 “An overseer, then, must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, prudent, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not addicted to wine or pugnacious, but gentle, peaceable, free from the love of money.”
It can broaden out, however, to include other forms of self-control, as in
Tit. 2:2 “Older men are to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance.”
1 Tim. 3:11 “Women must likewise be dignified, not malicious gossips, but temperate, faithful in all things.”
This extended application should be recollected when rendering the verb nēphō, which is translated ‘to be sober’, but which usually means ‘to be vigilant’
1 Thes. 5:6 “so then let us not sleep as others do, but let us be alert and sober.”
1 Pet. 1:13; 4:7; 5:8 “Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”
Eph. 5:18 “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit,”
Self - control - Temperance
to be Temperate, sober minded, exercise self control.... don’t be intoxicated with the works of the flesh.
Galatians 5:16–17 NASB95
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please.
Galatians 5:24–25 NASB95
Now those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.
