Tiny Truth-Tellers: Titus chapter 1

Hello, I am Paul, I am a servant of the Lord.

I have a friend named Titus; one day God told me to write Titus a letter while he was on the Island of Crete.

Titus and I both believe in Jesus Christ, God’s son, who came to earth to die for the sins of all of us and we want to serve him.

When Jesus was here, he went all through the earth just to tell others about God.

You may be wondering why I feel God told me to write this letter to Titus.

I am writing this letter because I have a very important job for Titus to do.

God has shown me that Titus needs to put very wise people into God’s churches at Crete so that the people there will become wise.

I am hoping that the people Titus chooses will love each other and be calm and generous.

These men need to love to do good things in God’s name.

But most of all these men need to love God and be made Holy by him.

You see, in Crete, there are a lot of people who say they love God, but don’t act like it very much.

These people say things they don’t mean, and they lie a lot.

They don’t follow God, but they say that they do.

They are upsetting a lot of people on the Island.

There was even a man who used to be like them that said the people on the Island always lie and that they are lazy and evil people.

This is true, and it is the reason God asked Titus to go to Crete.

He wants Titus to show the Island the truth.

God wants Titus to show that these men are evil and that they do not love the Lord.

They are men who believe in evil legends and not the truth that Jesus died for us.

To these men, nothing is pure, they say that they know God but the life they live tells a different story.

The truth is that because they say that they know Jesus but don’t, they are unable to do anything good.

This is the very reason Titus is there.

He has to help this Island to see that these men are evil.

Just like Titus God can use us, to tell the truth.

When we choose to live for God, we can then tell others about God.

When we see evil and lying we need to tell the truth.

So, I guess in some way we are like Titus, Just trying to tell the truth!

And just like Titus God sent us all to tell about him.

Titus chapter 2

Because the people were evil and they taught things about God that weren’t true I told Titus to teach the truth.

I wanted to help Titus to understand that we needed the people on the island of Crete to understand God’s word.

But how?..... I got it.

I will tell Titus to tell the men who have been Christians for a long time to teach the young boys at Crete and then, he can teach the ones who have been faithful Christian women to teach the girls.

We do this because if we listen to people who know how to live for God we can to live for God.

This just means that Titus has to be really smart in his teaching, he has to be able to show the people that God is with him.

If the people that Titus teaches on the Island can learn about what God wants from them, then the evil teachers will never be able to trick them because they know the truth.

I just want everyone on the Island to have God with them like Titus and I do.

You see God has given Titus and I his grace.

Even when we did evil he saved us by dying on the cross for our sins.

We have to teach the people at Crete that God can give them the same gift and that they can spend eternity in heaven with him.

You see, if we live for God we can’t keep doing the same evil things.

We have to be changed and show others that Jesus is with us.

Because one day just as God has promised we can live in heaven with him if we trust our life to him.

You to can have Jesus live with you, we all do bad things but Jesus can take our evil and change us for good.

All we have to do is belive in Jesus Christ and that he died on the cross for our sin, then we ask him to forgive of us of our sin and we live for him, that is how you can be saved.

Then our life is changed, like Titus and I, we don’t do those evil things anymore, we live for Jesus Christ.

Titus chapter 3

One of the biggest problems the people on the Island had is that they didn’t respect authority.

This meant that they didn’t listen to the people in charge of them, like their bosses or their moms or dads .

I have to ask Titus to tell them to listen to the people in charge.

The people on the Island also say bad things about each other and they fight a lot.

We have to show the people that when God saved us he showed us mercy.

We didn’t deserve to be saved but because Jesus Christ loved us he chose to die on the cross for our sins.

He done this so that one day we could spend life in Heaven with him.

Because God showed us his mercy we need to show mercy to others.

The people at Crete need to stop saying and doing evil things to each other if they are going to live for God.

They have to stop fighting over things that aren’t important because God is more important.

Do you ever have fights or say mean things about people?

The truth is that if we love God we have to stop doing that.

we need to listen to the ones in charge and be nice.

We do this so that people will see that jesus Christ is with us.

In the end Titus was able to go to the Island and teach all about God.

eventually two of my other friends came and took over but Titus kept telling people about God allover the world!
