Prayer 1

Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those that morn for they shall be comforted

WHY are we comforted?

Comforted because of WHAT He will do.

Luke 4:18

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me,

Because He anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor.

He has sent Me to proclaim release to the captives,

Eph 4:8

Therefore it says,

“When He ascended on high,

He led captive a host of captives,

And He gave gifts to men.”

9 (Now this expression, “He ascended,” what does it mean except that He also had descended into the lower parts of the earth?

10 He who descended is Himself also He who ascended far above all the heavens, so that He might fill all things.)

Jesus bring the righteous to the Father to heaven

John 14 1-3

Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.

2 “In My Father’s house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.

3 “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.

To the thief on the cross Jesus called that place paradise. The Old Testament calls it Abrahams Bosom . But to Christians that have died and been revived back to life they describe it as HOME

BUT heaven is just a resting place, that is why the Bible calls it sleep. Our real hope is in the resurrection.

Jesus said in John 11:25

I am the resurrection and the life

1 Thessalonians 4:13–17 NASB95

But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who have fallen asleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.

Back again Genesis again

This is the hope we have in Jesus.

Not wishful thinking BUT

THE CONFIDENT ANTICIPATION THAT GOODNESS IN COMING

LIFE IS NOT MEANINGLESS

NOT A WHISPY KINDA HOPE (gee I hope so)

BUT A SOLID ROCK EXPECTATION WE CAN BUILD OUR LIVES ON.

The only hope powerful enough to be for us what God calls the anchor of the soul: “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul” (Hebrews 6:19).

Matthew 19:28

Truly I say to you, that you who have followed Me, in the regeneration when the Son of Man will sit on His glorious throne, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

29 “And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name’s sake, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life

In the climax of the Bible God proclaims

Rev 21:5 Behold I am making all things new.

It’s a world were man and God will dwell together with us

as Father with His sons and daughters

THE MEANING OF LIFE

GOD WANTS A FAMILY

an obedient sons and daughters

YOUR will be done not ours

ours WILL ends in failure

God is calling to us, every honest heart knows Him

Romans 8:16-23

The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God,

17 and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

18 For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that is to be revealed to us.

19 For the anxious longing of the creation waits eagerly for the revealing of the sons of God.

creation itself also will be set free from its slavery to corruption into the freedom of the glory of the children of God.

22 For we know that the whole creation groans and suffers the pains of childbirth together until now.

23 And not only this, but also we ourselves, having the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting eagerly for our adoption as sons, the redemption of our body.

Animals will be there

We ride horses , lion lays down with lamb

Is 65:17-25

New Heavens and a New Earth

17 “For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;

And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind.

18 “But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create;

For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing

And her people for gladness.

19 “I will also rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people;

And there will no longer be heard in her

The voice of weeping and the sound of crying.

20 “No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days,

Or an old man who does not live out his days;

For the youth will die at the age of one hundred

And the bone who does not reach the age of one hundred

Will be thought accursed.

21 “They will build houses and inhabit them;

They will also plant vineyards and eat their fruit.

22 “They will not build and another inhabit,

They will not plant and another eat;

For as the lifetime of a tree, so will be the days of My people,

And My chosen ones will wear out the work of their hands.

23 “They will not labor in vain,

Or bear children for calamity;

For they are the boffspring of those blessed by the Lord,

And their descendants with them.

24 “It will also come to pass that before they call, I will answer; and while they are still speaking, I will hear.

25 “The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food. They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain,” says the Lord.
