David Is not the Shepherd but the sheep
David Is not the Shepherd but the sheep
David said,” the Lord is my shepherd!” David sees himself as sheep before the master shepherd! We’ve always viewed Davis as a masterful shepherd boy. But when David declared: “The Lord Is My Shepherd,” he was expressing his eternal relationship with the Lord.” Some of us have relationships with each other but they are never eternal! David’s relationship with God in this space and time illustrates that David is not far removed from being the sheep following The Good Shepherd. Let me point out three attributes of a sheep:
a) Sheep have Flocking Instinct: Sheep feels safer when gathered together. John 10:3-4 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep recognize his voice and come to him. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. After he has gathered his own flock, he walks ahead of them, and they follow him because they know his voice.
b)Sheep have Family Bonds: Sheep will stay in their maternal group for life. Your job is to be the family shepherd, under the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ. John 10:9 — New Century Version (NCV) 9 I am the door, and the person who enters through me will be saved and will be able to come in and go out and find pasture.
c)Sheep are On the Move: Sheep will follow the leader. If you can get one sheep moving, - then the rest will follow!
There’s something we should know about the shepherd: the shepherd faces the risk of changing pastures and following new paths, but this shepherd gives guidance and comfort. (move this)

2. What indications do we have that David is the guest and not the host? First, let us define the role of host and guest. Earlier we stated that David is the sheep and not the shepherd. Because of David’s relationship with the Lord he has no need for anything. Therefore David could say with ease “I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures. He leads me besides the still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in the path of righteousness for His name’s sake.” If i could borrow your imagination for a moment,
