Everlasting Life

How do we receive this eternal life? When I have question I go to the source, and while studying I found a quote from Campbell Morgan that explained it best.

“There is one sure and infallible guide to truth, and therefore one and only one, corrective for error, and that is the word of God.” The message I have for you today is one the Holy Spirit put on my heart and I can do nothing on my own so I pray that God would remove me from the message and let his spirt work through me for your benefit.

John 5:24 ““Very truly I tell you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has crossed over from death to life.”

Anyone here want an everlasting life ? AMEN

Do we have any believers hear today? I don’t want to put you on the spot so let me give you some information today, some that most of you already know but thats ok we are going to celebrate our identity in Christ.

A New Provision

2. Shall not come into judgement

Have you ever been concerned if that one sin, that you commited way back when, you know that one you never told anyone before, If that one sin or (who knows if your like there has been many) but anyway are you concerned if those haven’t been covered.

Ephesians 2:8–9 NIV

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.

So, i’m here to tell you that you are forgiven, you are saved, you are adopted, sanctified, redeemed, blessed, though your sins may have been crimson red like mine, but through Christ you may be made white as wool.

A New Position

3. Passed from death unto Life

Galatians 2:20 NIV

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

We must understand that we died on the cross with Jesus we hung our sin up there with him we died to our flesh and accepted an eternal life with christ. So, we passed from our death in sin to the life and love and eternal peace that only Christ can give us.

4. Hear and Believe

If we hear his words and believe in the one who sent Jesus HAS eternal life.

I came today to deliver a message that would encourage you, so that you may see the life that you have through the experience that you are in, in our struggles hardships and isolation we find it difficult to see Gods hand at work in our live. But hear me when i tell you God is with you a Preacher named Rick Warren said “ you wont know that Christ is all you need until Christ is all you have.” You see it when we are in the fire that we see Christ the clearest its when we are relying on him for every next step and every next breath that we feel his presence its because it in those moment when he is carrying us through.

If you haven’t known Christ until now you have accomplished half of the requirements already just by listening to me deliver the message.

The bible says in Ro 10 :9 “If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Then we all have heard John 3 16-17 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.”
