Introduction

• No person can ever stay the same once they meet Jesus the Nazarene.

Sermon in a Sentence

Believer’s baptism tells the story of the unmistakable change in us where life replaces death and Righteousness replaces sin.

Baptism Tells the Story

• Grace does not mean that we can do whatever we want.
• Our old life will be dead and buried when we choose to follow Jesus.
• Baptism proclaims that the person who leaves its waters is a new creation.

Life Replaces Death

• Sin leads to death, but Jesus died to free us from sin.
• When our old sinful life ends, we begin a new life with Him.

Righteousness Replaces Sin

• Sin has lost dominion in our lives.
• We cannot give over any part of our lives to sin.
• Grace provides the power for us to live in righteousness.

Conclusion

• After salvation, we are still human, but we have been changed to a new person who walks in righteousness and life.
