The Vision of Jesus

For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Jesus saw beyond the cross. What did He see? He saw Himself seated at the right hand of the throne of God, just exactly what Stephen the martyr saw as he was being stoned to death (only Jesus was standing).

But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56 “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

What it is implied or understood by Jesus being seated at God’s right hand?
