Power of Humility and Repentance (Epi)

Defintion

Humility: a modest or low view of one's own importance; humbleness.

Example:

4 By humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches and honor and life.

4 Riquezas, honra y vida Son la remuneración de la humildad y del temor de Jehová.

The Bible says that true humility and fear of the Lord “lead to riches, honor and long life”

In the Old and New Testament, humility is essential for establishing a right relationship with God and other people.

Humility is also necessary for maintaining a proper perception of ourselves

Easy right? Keep your mouth closed don’t talk back got it! And only speak when spoken to. Got it..peace of cake. Right? I Had It Down. I was so good I was the only kid that didn’t get beat every day. My Siblings hated me like Joesph you seen that movie right. I to believe if my siblings could they would have sold me to the next family. Why is that?

It’s cause I was good to my parents but went toe to toe with my siblings just smart when it came to be around my Mother.

We were taught that as a kid how to live in humility

You want to pull out grate examples of how other people did it and what you did but looking back on my life I don’t think I tried hard enough or scarified enough of my own.

Philippians 2:3 Says Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather in humility value others above yourselves.

3 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.

3 Nada hagáis por contienda o por vanagloria; antes bien con humildad, estimando cada uno a los demás como superiores a él mismo;

So you you look for ideas or direction to be this God fearing man.

How can one be Humble? ¿Cómo se puede ser Humilde?

Understand individual limitations - Comprender las limitaciones individuales.

Appreciate others - Apreciar a los demás

Respect others and their opinions - Respetar a los demás y sus opiniones.

Listen more and speak less - Escucha más y habla menos

Withhold judgment over intentions as much as possible - Retener el juicio sobre las intenciones tanto como sea posible.

Help others and promote others - Ayudar a otros y promover a otros.

I like the way Anna K. Schaffer put it. She Says

At first sight, the ancient virtue of humility is not a particularly appealing one.

Deriving from the word humus (earth), it appears to clash with our current valuation of self-worth and self-realization.

But humility has nothing to do with meekness or weakness. And neither does it mean being self-effacing or submissive. Humility is an attitude of spiritual modesty that comes from understanding our place in the larger order of things. It entails not taking our desires, successes, or failings too seriously.

Humility in the Bible there’s basically 43 verse to help you.

But when you analyze yourself by retracing your foot steps you see a lots of mistakes but the beauty of it is He’s taken all away so you can start again today.isn’t his mercy grate!

And the big question is, But how do you know when it’s enough? and to know that you have to be in contact with the Holy Spirit to know your boundaries.

Where you step back and let God.

But it start with repentance Cause we have a tendency to hold on to the past our regrets, mistakes or blaming someone for where we are now. And where is the power in all this? In Him he takes it all and makes all things new. I want to share something with you that has set in my hart 20 years ago asking God when do do I know I’ve done my part Lord and I see this and says don’t worry you’ll never give it this much. (Show it) You see this is real humility here. To give this much and the power in it? Is you and I. Here and now He gave it all so we may be saved. If you feel you want to come speak with him for bit and ask for repentance. Lord I want people to see you when I walk or talk, let my actions only reflect you help me decrease so yo may increase in my life> I have some thing little I made to help you when you feel over whelmed and you feel its to much.
