Final Admonition

vs. 21-25
Don’t invest your self in empty "things that cannot profit or deliver”
Habakkuk 2:18–20 ESV
18 “What profit is an idol when its maker has shaped it, a metal image, a teacher of lies? For its maker trusts in his own creation when he makes speechless idols! 19 Woe to him who says to a wooden thing, Awake; to a silent stone, Arise! Can this teach? Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver, and there is no breath at all in it. 20 But the Lord is in his holy temple; let all the earth keep silence before him.”
idols of our own making- pursuit of things (money, power, sex, food, substance, stone/wood/metal)
idols of our mind- narrative building = assuming the role of CREATOR

God remembers His people for His name’s sake

Revelation 21:3 ESV
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.
God has desired this relationship with humanity from the very beginning.
The only obstacle to this relationship has been Man.

Pastoral Prayer

1 Samuel 12:23 ESV
23 Moreover, as for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by ceasing to pray for you, and I will instruct you in the good and the right way.

Honor and Serve God faithfully

21 His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
