Ephesians 6:10–20 (KJV 1900)
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
19 And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel,
20 For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Wherefore take = because we are wrestling
You cannot stand unless you are operating with the armor
This is a spiritual experience that is not only verbal quoting but a spiritual reality
“Praying alway with all prayer”
“All prayer is warfare”
Prayer = a human creation speaking with Holy God
All Prayer = earnest fervent intensity
You are fervently desiring for God to work
fervent prayer
Supplication = requests and petitions
This involves persuasion - God wants our petitions
Instruction for prayer
1. How long should we pray - always = All day connected and communicating
All day, seven days a week, 52 weeks of the year
2. To what degree = Giving everything we have in prayer, going all the way
3. Our commitment in prayer = “With all perseverance” = We will not give up, importunity, We lay hold and we don’t let go
We quit
Daniel prayed 21 days without any answer
The messenger angel was held up
tenacity
Importunity
Wrestling we cannot quit
4. The extent of our prayers = “for all saints”
We have to work to organize our prayer life
time = schedule
finances = budget
I have a place in my basement that has a map
I don’t have time - make time
5. The intimacy of our prayers = “pray for me”
“You have not because you ask not”
Are there some things we will not have
Some victories we will not experience
There is no way to quantify, calculate, or even estimate the value of prayer
I may pray and not see the answer
We have a spiritual responsibility to pray for all the saints
Jesus prayed for believers
I have kept them
John 17:5–19 KJV 1900
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was. 6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word. 7 Now they have known that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are of thee. 8 For I have given unto them the words which thou gavest me; and they have received them, and have known surely that I came out from thee, and they have believed that thou didst send me. 9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine. 10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I am glorified in them. 11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled. 13 And now come I to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they might have my joy fulfilled in themselves. 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil. 16 They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world. 17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth. 18 As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world. 19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth.
Father sanctify them
Father help them
Father keep them
Jesus prayed for us
John 17:20 KJV 1900
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
These 11 men believed
Millions have believed
He prayed for you
Revival comes with prayer =
2. Jesus is still praying for You

Whatever you are going through, I’m praying for you
That thy faith fail not
Trials will come and we cannot stop them
but we can pray
3. The Holy Spirit prays for you
Romans 8:26–27 KJV 1900
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
The Holy Spirit is praying for you
He rallies in prayer for you
He is praying for the will of the Father to be accomplished in your life
Wouldn't that be a great pattern for us to pray
4. Your Pastor Prays for You
Your prayer life must increase, and if we don’t increase and grow in our prayer life God will bring events into our life that will cause us to grow in prayer

7 Now I pray to God that ye do no evil; not that we should appear approved, but that ye should do that which is honest, though we be as reprobates.

B. Reconciliation -
There are some that are here in church but not reconciled to God
You’ve made a decision that you won’t Give God an area of your life and you’re not reconciled to Him
I’m praying for you to be reunited in harmony with God’s plan in your life
Philippians 1:3–6 KJV 1900
3 I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, 4 Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, 5 For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; 6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Philippians 1:9–11 KJV 1900
9 And this I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgment; 10 That ye may approve things that are excellent; that ye may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; 11 Being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.
Help them to abound in love
Coldness comes from not loving Jesus
Approve things that are excellent
Sincerity in faith
Fill them with the fruits of righteousness
Colossians 1:1–3 KJV 1900
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, and Timotheus our brother, 2 To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ which are at Colosse: Grace be unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. 3 We give thanks to God and the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, praying always for you,

9 For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; 10 That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; 11 Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;
Ephesians 1:15–19 (KJV 1900)
15 Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,
16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory,
may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;
that ye may know what is the hope of his calling,
and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe,
according to the working of his mighty power,
Prayers that are in harmony with Scripture are the prayers we are to pray
they will be answered
