14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.
34 And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him.
Jesus did incredible miracles as He walked the earth.
The early church continued to show the power of Jesus as their influence spread across Israel.
31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied. 32 And it came to pass, as Peter passed throughout all quarters, he came down also to the saints which dwelt at Lydda. 33 And there he found a certain man named Æneas, which had kept his bed eight years, and was sick of the palsy. 34 And Peter said unto him, Æneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately. 35 And all that dwelt at Lydda and Saron saw him, and turned to the Lord. 36 Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did. 37 And it came to pass in those days, that she was sick, and died: whom when they had washed, they laid her in an upper chamber. 38 And forasmuch as Lydda was nigh to Joppa, and the disciples had heard that Peter was there, they sent unto him two men, desiring him that he would not delay to come to them. 39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. 40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive. 42 And it was known throughout all Joppa; and many believed in the Lord. 43 And it came to pass, that he tarried many days in Joppa with one Simon a tanner.
Jesus’ Healing Continues
Jesus’ Healing Continues
These events happened as physical healings and were, I’m sure, a great encouragement to the church and a sign to the Jews that this was of God.
But there are no miraculous healings in our churches today. Sometimes God does wonderful things, but it is not through a “healer.”
Yet God’s healing ministry continues.
The purpose behind Jesus’ healings was never simply physical relief. It was to bring spiritual healing to those who were sick and those who were watching.
34 And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.
52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.
19 And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.
The most incredible healing God can bring is healing our guilt and our sin and bringing life to a soul that is dead in sin.
Give the Gospel here.

Jesus’ Comforting Continues
39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them. 40 But Peter put them all forth, and kneeled down, and prayed; and turning him to the body said, Tabitha, arise. And she opened her eyes: and when she saw Peter, she sat up. 41 And he gave her his hand, and lifted her up, and when he had called the saints and widows, presented her alive.
16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;
That Person that Jesus spoke of was the Holy Spirit. When a person gets saved, He is in Christ both figuratively and literally. Christ places His Spirit inside us to help us to walk with Him.
The Holy Spirit comforts us by:
The Holy Spirit comforts us by:
Helping us know that we’re saved.
Helping us know that we’re saved.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
Reminding us we are in God’s family now.
Reminding us we are in God’s family now.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Reminding us about our home in Heaven
Reminding us about our home in Heaven
17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.
Helping us pray
Helping us pray
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. 27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Reassuring us that we are accepted.
Reassuring us that we are accepted.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

Jesus continues to use the testimonies of His healing, comforting, saving power to spread the Gospel to people who do not know Him.
God wants to use you to tell someone about Him.
God wants to take you and give you a purpose.
God wants to tell you that He will accept you as you are and change you into the image of His dear Son, Jesus.
Invitation:
Let God save you.
Let God comfort you.
Let God use you.
