Jesus did incredible miracles as He walked the earth.
The early church continued to show the power of Jesus as their influence spread across Israel.
Jesus’ Healing Continues
These events happened as physical healings and were, I’m sure, a great encouragement to the church and a sign to the Jews that this was of God.
But there are no miraculous healings in our churches today.
Sometimes God does wonderful things, but it is not through a “healer.”
Yet God’s healing ministry continues.
The purpose behind Jesus’ healings was never simply physical relief.
It was to bring spiritual healing to those who were sick and those who were watching.
The most incredible healing God can bring is healing our guilt and our sin and bringing life to a soul that is dead in sin.
Give the Gospel here.
Jesus’ Comforting Continues
That Person that Jesus spoke of was the Holy Spirit.
When a person gets saved, He is in Christ both figuratively and literally.
Christ places His Spirit inside us to help us to walk with Him.
The Holy Spirit comforts us by:
Helping us know that we’re saved.
Reminding us we are in God’s family now.
Reminding us about our home in Heaven
Helping us pray
Reassuring us that we are accepted.
Jesus’ Saving Continues
Jesus continues to use the testimonies of His healing, comforting, saving power to spread the Gospel to people who do not know Him.
God wants to use you to tell someone about Him.
God wants to take you and give you a purpose.
God wants to tell you that He will accept you as you are and change you into the image of His dear Son, Jesus.
Invitation:
Let God save you.
Let God comfort you.
Let God use you.
