The idea of judgement is brought up here. Jesus also reminds us that He is coming soon. I alluded to this last Sunday; the idea that tomorrow is not promised. Cole was wearing a shirt that talked about waiting until tomorrow. The real idea here is not just about the idea that Jesus may return while we are sleeping, but that He may return before we have a chance to sort out our salvation. Recompense-payment for what is due. I feel that many times we only consider that Jesus is bringing our reward. When we consider judgement we should consider that your reward may not be what we thought it would be. The key here is in repaying them for what they have done.
