Paul was not personally grieved by the one who grieved them

He speaks a bit about it so they are not burdened

Not being a financial burden to the Thessalonians, 1 Thessalonians 2:9; 2 Thessalonians 3:8

Paul is referring to the man kicked out of the Church, 1 Corinthians 5:1-5

Admonishment is to put to one’s mind

The Word of the Christ should dwell in us richly, admonishing us, Colossians 3:16

Do Not Associate with fornicators, 1 Corinthians 5:9

God was gracious to us in Christ, while we were dead in our trespasses He made us alive in Christ, Colossians 2:13

Eternal life is a gracious gift, Romans 6:23

It is in addition to the gift of righteousness (salvation), Romans 5:15

But not as the trespass, thus also is the gracious gift. For since by the trespass of the one [man] the many died, how much more the grace from God and the gift (of righteousness) by grace by the one man Jesus Christ abounds unto the many.

God Forgives

When we agree with Him that we have sinned, 1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Happy are those who are forgiven, Romans 4:7

The Vow of the Mentally ill (Due to a wrong act committed by them), James 5:15

Our sins are forgiven for His sake, 1 John 2:12

Marking Those who Do Wrong, 2 Thessalonians 3:14

We do not associate with them

A Person Who Has Repented We are Gracious Towards

This does not mean to allow them to harm you again, or even be in a position to harm you

Gracious is permitting them to be edified by the Body of the Christ (The Church) without considerations of merit.

Punishment is Not Meant to Swallow Someone in Grief, 2 Corinthians 2:7

Satan seeks to swallow up those who are not prepared, 1 Peter 5:8

Punishment comes from the word for rebuke, 2 Timothy 4:2

Rebuking is for Correction, Not Causing Excessive Grief

Reaffirming Love, 2 Corinthians 2:8
