How are we saved?

Acts 4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
Salvation is found “in no one else”, but Christ.
Christ is the giver, the supplier, the ordainer, and the author of salvation.
Christ is where our salvation is secure.
Ephesians 2:8-9

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Our salvation stems from our faith in Christ Jesus; Him being the root of the very fruit.
Salvation is not earned or achieved through merit, pedigree, or better known as WORKS!
The implication “we can save ourselves” presupposes and suggests multiple things about the natural man's own knowledge:
We are aware of the need to be saved
We are able to tap into
