Overcoming Strongholds

2 Timothy 1:7 KJV 1900
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
God has given us power, love and a sound mind. We are not to be fearful but we are to have victory over sin in our life.
James 4:17 KJV 1900
17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
If we know how to live and what not to do, when we chose to do it anyways the Bible calls that sin. It is up to us to choose not to sin.
Matthew 6:24 KJV 1900
24 No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
You have to make a choice about who you are going to serve.
Proverbs 5:22 (KJV 1900)
22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself, And he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.
Psalm 119:11 KJV 1900
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, That I might not sin against thee.
If we memorize and meditate on Scripture God can lead us through the valleys that we are in.
Romans 8:37 KJV 1900
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV 1900
13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.
1 Corinthians 15:33 KJV 1900
33 Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.
“Bad company corrupts good character”
James 4:7 KJV 1900
7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
1 Corinthians 6:12 KJV 1900
12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.
We shouldn’t be brought under the power of anything that will control us. Alcohol has a way of controlling what we do or say.
1 Peter 5:10 KJV 1900
10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
