Goodness of God

We have to know, believe, and share this good news.

James 1:17 “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of change.”

God is a good God and he makes good things. Thins of value. Jesus was lead by the Father and did you know he did not stay where he was not valued.

One of the biggest lies is I am no good. Or God is out to get me.

God is Good.. and he has done great things personally for me and for everything he has created.

Psalm 126:3 LEB

Yahweh has done great things for us; we are glad.

1Timothy 4:4 “because everything created by God is good and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thankfulness,”

What is good or goodness...

the quality of being morally good or virtuous

So its a quality or an attribute …to something or someone it has value or gives it the value of good. You and me. and the way we are uniquely created by God because of who he is. We are made with value and he has gifted each one of us with good gifts.

See it is who God is Mark 10:18 “So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.”

As I was thinking about the lies of the this world one of the biggest attacks is this very fundamental truth. That we are not valued, or loved. That we have nothing to offer the world. Or the fact that God wants us to see him as a Father and we are his children.

Matthew 7:10-12 “Or also if he will ask for a fish, will give him a snake? Therefore if you, although you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him? Therefore in all things, whatever you want that people should do to you, thus also you do to them. For this is the law and the prophets.”

God invites us into this walk this relationship to see Him and yourself in the the truth and the light of Gods word!!

Psalm 34:8 “Taste and see that Yahweh is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him.”

It amazes me how good God is. Think of candy. The most delicious favorite piece of candy. Or how about the best meal you ever ate. That is the part of your mind and heart God wants to open, touch and illuminate to receive the truth of who you are and who is he and who we can be in Christ.

See out of Gods goodness he went one step further and God sent us the best of the best gift of all. He sent himself. The very goodness of God in the form of his son Jesus. God sent Jesus so we could physically see his goodness, his love, and to see an example of how in a personal relationship with him we to can walk in the goodness of who he created us to be.

For God is good and he wanted to demonstrate he was a good father and good God.

Romans 5:8 “but God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

See this is why its called the good news or the gospel.

2 Corinthians 4:1-14 “Because of this, since we have this ministry, just as we have been shown mercy, we do not lose heart, but we have renounced shameful hidden things, not behaving with craftiness or adulterating the word of God, but with the open proclamation of the truth commending ourselves to every person’s conscience before God. But if indeed our gospel is veiled, it is veiled among those who are perishing, among whom the god of this age has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they would not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not proclaim ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your slaves for the sake of Jesus. We share this good news , we live this goodness, we are to be the representation of the goodness of God to the word around us everyday. We should be the difference, we should bring good taste and flavor to the world we live in. We are of value to God and he has chosen us for such a time as this.

He teaches us and instructs us to walk in his goodness. We learn to be good like God by doing what his word says to do and believing in what his word says about himself and us. And the power of relationship with Jesus himself.

Psalm 143:10 “Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; your Spirit is good. Lead me onto level ground.”

So if God is good and he does great things. If he is our good teacher and our good father. Then we are able through him to live here on this earth and represent this truth to people who don't know the amazing goodness of God. And that they personally are loved and valued by him. We get to show them in the flesh today NOW Jesus! And that is some good news!!
