“Who gives this woman (Danielle Johnson) to this man (David Om) today?”

Call to Worship

On behalf of David Om and Daniel Johnson, I want to welcome all of you to this special ceremony. This is a happy occasion and a special opportunity to be among God’s people. It is appropriate that we seek the Lord’s presence in prayer as we gather on this special occasion.

Opening Prayer

Dearly Beloved, we are gathered here together in the sight of God to join together this man and woman in holy matrimony. It is an honorable estate, instituted by God, signifying unto us the mystical union between Jesus Christ and His church. It is commended in the Scriptures to be honorable among all, and therefore is not by any to be entered into unadvisedly or lightly, but reverently, advisedly and soberly and in the fear of God. I pray that you would bless these two as they begin this journey, that you would be the lamp underneath their feet, the path that leads them, that you would be glorified through this union. We pray this in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

Exchange of Vows

Please repeat after me. I David Om, take you Danielle Johnson to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love, to forgive and to cherish, till death do us part, according to God’s holy decree; and there to you, I give my promise.

Ring Ceremony

Prayer then give bride’s ring to groom. Groom will take the bride’s left hand and place the ring on her third finger, holding it there, he will repeat after the minister.

Declaration of Marriage

Since these two persons have made their marriage vow before God and all the witnesses gathered today, I officially declare David Om and Danielle Johnson man and wife in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.. So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let no man separate.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we thank you for the gift of marriage. We thank you that you have bonded David and Danielle together today Lord. We know that marriage is sacred because it is the picture of how you love us. Look mercifully upon these two. May they love, honor and cherish each other, and so live together in faithfulness and patience, in wisdom and godliness, that their marriage would be a reminder to all of us, the love of Christ. Strengthen them in times of hardship, and may they find their hope in you.

Benediction

Now may the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with David and Danielle as they embark on their new journey, may you bless them and all who are here in attendance today. May they serve as a powerful testimony of your love and grace to all. Amen.
