(H) Are you guys ever AMAZED when you LOOK AROUND the WORLD at CREATION? Or looking at the STARS, etc.? Knowing all the AMAZING THINGS that GOD has MADE?

It should DRAW US into a PLACE of WORSHIP. Praising God for all he’s done.

DAVID WROTE Psalm 8 about this exactly:

Psalm 8 (ESV)

To the choirmaster: according to The Gittith. A Psalm of David.

1 O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.

“God our master/Lord”…GLORY in CREATION!

2 Out of the mouth of babies and infants, you have established strength because of your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.

GOD is so STRONG and amazing that his PRAISE from the MOUTHS of CHILDREN is like a STRONGHOLD (meaning of strength) set up AGAINST his ENEMIES that they are UNABLE to CONQUER God.

3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,

4 what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him?

We have to REMEMBER how GREAT GOD is.

PRAY, CHURCH,…FORGET WHO WE’RE WORSHIPING...because we go through the motions.

GOD - GREAT, CREATOR, SOVEREIGN.

WE’RE INSIGNIFICANT.

YET HE CARES FOR US! WILD!

KNOWS HAIRS ON OUR HEADS...

5 Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.

GOD/ANGELS...MANKIND is the GREATEST CREATION on the earth. God made man SPECIAL.

6 You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet,

7 all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field,

8 the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.

9 O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Mankind was the CROWN of God’s CREATION. The only part of creation that is made in the IMAGE of GOD! Mankind was made to be REPRESENTATIVES of GOD on the EARTH...

Genesis 1:26–30 (ESV)

26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

PEOPLE are NOT UPGRADED MONKEYS... We are NOT JUST CLUMPS of CELLS that have evolved from some small organism over millions of years.

It’s IMPOSSIBLE to LOOK at all the CREATED BEINGS in the WORLD & NOT NOTICE the SIGNIFICANCE of MANKIND and how much DIFFERENT we are from the REST of CREATION.

28 And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”

MANKIND was given the RESPONSIBILITY to RULE over creation.

We want to be GOOD MANAGERS of the EARTH that GOD has ENTRUSTED to us, to care for it.

HEBREWS takes THIS PSALM…POINTS TO JESUS. “SON OF MAN”

ADAM/MAN = FAILED to OBEY...

GOD BECAME MAN…BABY- JESUS FOR US.

JESUS PERFECTLY FULFILLS/OBEYS.

MANKIND - DOMINION…JESUS CHRIST - ULTIMATE DOMINION.

EVEN OVER DEATH

----NO FEAR IN LIFE…IF IN CHRIST, RANSOMED, HE IS SOVEREIGN AND OVER ALL CREATION. ULTIMATE DOMINION, ALTHOUGH NOT FULLY CONSUMMATED YET.
