Deaconing Together: The Lofty Privilege of Lowly Service

We have been observing Christ’s Vision for His Church, and we’ve found that God calls each member to be equipped for the work of service (diakonia) so that the whole body can be built up into spiritual maturity (Eph 4:12-13). We looked two weeks ago at the office of the pastor/elder. This Sunday we’ll consider both the formal office of deacons as well as the collective role of serving (deaconing) that each member is called to in order for a healthy church body to be growing in maturing.
