Hebrews 12:1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,

Here the writer to the Hebrews exhorts all who profess faith in Jesus Christ, the “author and perfecter of our faith” (v. 2), to do two things:
First, we are to remove or put off any burden that keeps us from Christ-likeness
Second, we are to persevere, patiently enduring all things until we grow and mature in the faith.

First, the claim should be significant and verifiable.Second, eyewitnesses should have recorded their experiences at the time of the event. Finally, a good record should still exist that goes back to the time of the eyewitness reports.
