Hebrews 11:6

A FIRMLY HELD BELIEF
“And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” - Hebrews 11:6

1) A firmly held belief in the existence of God

If He says it, it’s a promise - and He doesn’t change His mind
Illustration - trusting someone makes you even want to do the hard things. Why? Because you trust them, and trusting them, means you’ll follow them - even when their way doesn’t sound
Now imagine that there’s someone who everything they tell you is the truth. In fact, in their complete greatness, they can ONLY tell you truth. It’s their nature. Wouldn’t that be the

What is the reward for those who seek Him?

TO KNOW HIM
And knowing God, is the search that we’re ALL on - whether we realize it or not - whether we ADMIT it or not

You wanna know what this definition of this faith - A firmly held belief in the existence, and the firmly held belief in the promises of someone - boils down to?

The gospel. This is the very essence of the gospel.
Is belief in Jesus - in the realm that He existed “faith”? Well it’s a good start.
