In the first seven verses of this section, Paul brings the Colossians off the mountain top of theology, which is Christ, and brings them to a concern he has for these believers.
Paul’s Concern expressed - “Great Conflict”
It affects their ability to be comforted.
It affects their unity in love for one another.
It affects their knowledge and growth in the Lord.
“...Beguile you with enticing words.”
Concerned for the tradition you could follow (v. 8-9)
Concerned for the track it will place you on (vs. 10-15)
It will stunt your growth in Christ(v. 10)
It will sully your holiness in Christ (vs. 11)
It will simplify the miraculous in Christ (vs. 12-15)
