Three Fold Cord of Fulfilment

Ephesians 1:3–5 (KJV 1900)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

There is a lot in the scripture about God’s will, purpose, plan, power of God...

We talk a lot about God’s plan, purpose.

If you look at the messages I preach you will find that by far, the topic of God’s plan and purpose is the one I most teach and preach about.

I feel like EVERYONE has a part in the ultimate plan of God for EVERYTHING.

It’s our responsibility to find that plan and fulfil it.

We want it for our lives. Our family. Our churches. Our cities.

We are obsessed with it as One God, Apostolic, Holiness People of the Name; Jesus!

And well we should be obsessed with it!

So the question becomes, how can we make sure we see the fulfilment of God’s will?

What are the ingredients to the recipe that assures us that God’s will will be done?

Three ingredients for fulfilment.

God - He always was, always is and will always be.

There is no other god.

Scripture is clear. Ps86.10

Psalm 86:10 KJV 1900

For thou art great, and doest wondrous things: Thou art God alone.

God is Sovereign (supreme)

This is a problem with the trinity -

If God sent his son in the traditional way than that means Jesus is subordinate to the father…

Deut 4:35; 39, 6:4, 32:39, 2 Sam 7:22, 1 Kings 6:60, 2 Kings 19:15, 1 Chron. 17:20, Ne 9:6

Not even got to Psalms and Isaiah yet…

He knows the end from the beginning - because it’s his plan

BUT God got lonely…

All that power and ability and nothing and no one to be powerful for!

Created the angelic host and the environment that they live in

Angelic

The angelic exist for one reason, to fulfil God’s will.

They set about to do so…

Ever thought about it?

Angels to worship

Angels to carry messages

Angels to war

It seems to me that they were created as an intermediary between the supernatural and the natural...

Before the natural was created...

GOD HAS A PLAN!

Humanity

Oh the powerful yet limited creation of God called humanity!

What makes humans so powerful?

Completely left to their own decisions...

Will they fulfill their creators purpose for them or will they not?

When they choose not to, they are the most destructive of all God’s creations...

When they choose to, they are the most powerful of God’s creations...

So the winning ingredients to the fulfilment of God’s purpose is:

God

Angelic host

Humanity

These three come together to fulfil God’s will!

We know we need God...

We know we need to submit to God’s will...

We struggle with an understanding of the Angelic!

I believe that the last great understanding for the church to get is the interaction between humanity and the angelic host!

The question becomes:

How does the finite get the attention of the infinite?

How does humanity get the attention of deity?

How does the natural get the attention of the supernatural?

How do we get God’s attention?

So many things the bible talks to us about...

Psalm 22:3 KJV 1900

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

When a covenant person praises God, he hears that above everything!

Proof?

We are created in the image of God - God’s feelings, emotions, desires...

What parent cannot hear his own child cry and know it’s their child?

We are that away because God is that away!

If you want God’s attention, praise Him!

How do we get the attention of the angelic?

If we learn anything in biblical study, its that angels are a part from the first to the last.

OT to NT.

Genesis to Revelation

Some 400 times the word angel is used...

NOT counting other words like cherub, seraphim etc.

Yet in modern “Christianity” we seem afraid to talk about it.

Yet the way God’s will is accomplished is through the working of humanity and the angelic!

How do we get the angels attention?

Angels respond to to things -

God’s direct orders/plan

Righteousness

Righteousness gets the angelic’s attention.

1 Corinthians 11:10 KJV 1900

For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

Angels understand and know God’s creation…

When they see it operating how God intended, they respond.

When people praise God and live righteously it is a magnet for the Spirit of God and the angelic!

Conclusion:

We don’t need to focus on God’s plan as much as praising Him and living right!

Watched an angel following my daughter’s car into the shop last night…

They are everywhere to see the fulfilment of God’s will!
