Philippians 4:6–7 NIV

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Have you ever fallen prey to the “what if? trap? You know the game we play in our minds of thinking about a different future. (Story of roller coasters.)

Anxiety can quickly become a downhill snowball if not dealt with right away.

Talk about anxiety and how it’s become a projected norm.

Do you know its 100% possible to live anxiety free today, that Jesus actually gives us power to overcome.

One and only point: What you empty, God will fill.

How can we empty anxiety from our life?

1.) Trust in the power of “I AM”.

-Retell the story of Moses.

-At the point of giving up, Jesus comes to assure us and fill us with the power of himself.

-Tell the story of culture shift.

2.) Allow Jesus to fill you with His love.

-1 Peter 5:7 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

-Jesus can’t fill what we don’t empty. Love is the filler to overcome anxiety. (story of drinking nasty coffee.)

-Whatever we surrender, God will give us something so much better.

We are going to go back into the chorus of O Praise the name. And as we do, I want you to close your eyes and release any anxiety you have to Him, and allow Him to fill you with His love.
