The song end of the World as we know it.

13:2 God will throw down all false religion.

This is why we have the warning in verse 13:5-6 also 21-23

The Jerusalem temple (not fully completed until ca. A.D. 64)

which means they only enjoyed it for 6 years.
and huge stone "bricks" were laid. Some of these weighed well over 100 tons, the largest measuring 44.6 by 11 by 16.5 feet (13.6 m × 3.4 m × 5.0 m) and weighing approximately 567-628 tons,[c][30] while most were in the range of 2.5 by 3.5 by 15 feet (0.76 m × 1.07 m × 4.57 m) (approximately 28 tons). King Herod had architects from Greece, Rome and Egypt plan the construction.

13:8 Don’t get lost in the news cycle.

Verse 9 we need to be on guard about what we are listening to or who is speaking into our lives.

The Bible Knowledge Commentary 2. Prophetic Discourse in Jesus’ Answer to His Disciples’ Questions (13:5–32)

He first answered their second question regarding “the sign” (v. 4b) in two ways: negatively, by warning them against false signs of the end (vv. 5–13), and positively, by stating the notable event that inaugurates unparalleled tribulation and by describing the Second Advent (vv. 14–27)

13:13 Keep your eye on the prize.

Romans 8:29–30 CSB
For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he would be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. And those he predestined, he also called; and those he called, he also justified; and those he justified, he also glorified.
1 John 2:19 CSB
They went out from us, but they did not belong to us; for if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us. However, they went out so that it might be made clear that none of them belongs to us.
Ephesians 2:8–10 CSB
For you are saved by grace through faith, and this is not from yourselves; it is God’s gift—not from works, so that no one can boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.

These words of warning were pertinent to Mark’s Roman readers who were threatened by persecution for their allegiance to Jesus. Such suffering could be more readily endured when viewed in the context of God’s plan for worldwide evangelism and vindication. (Cf. comments on Matt. 24:13.)

Jesus is coming back we need to not forget that simple truth.

13:23 Jesus tells us how the story ends. We know who wins.

Verse 24 to 27 remind us of this.

Churchill it is not given to us to peer into the mysteries of the future. .... He is wrong because that is exactly with Jesus does for us. He lets us see into the future.
and it may be soon because verse 27 and verse 10 make it sound like Christianity will have spread and needs to spread across the whole globe. At this moment there are Christians in all most all parts of the globe this was not always the case.

For the Christian the end of the world should make us fell fine.
