THE REAL ME
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.
For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;
for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.
But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does.
HOW TO DISCOVER THE REAL YOU?
BELIEF + DOING = BEST YOU = AUTHORITY
BELIEF - DOING = IMPOSTER = WEAKNESS
IMPOSTER SYNDROME refers to an internal experience of believing that you are not as competent as others perceive you to be.
WHO ARE YOU? THE PERSON YOU KEEP PRETENDING TO BE IS DEAD.
THE REAL YOU IS HIDDEN IN JESUS!

WHAT’S THE DISTANCE BETWEEN YOUR IDEAL YOU AND THE REAL YOU?
GROWTH
- THE DISTANCE IS DETERMINED BY YOU
GROWTH IS BIBLICAL:
*LUKE 2:52
And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.
*EPHESIANS 4:13
till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ;
*JOHN 3:30
He must increase, but I must decrease.
*ISAIAH 9:7
Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.
GROWTH EQUATION:
WORD + HOLY SPIRIT + DOING = TRANSFORMATION
(TRUTH + CONVICTION + PRACTICE) = TRANSFORMATION GROWTH
WORD + HS = BEING
WORD - TRUTH IN THE PERSON OF JESUS
Sanctify them by Your truth. Your word is truth.
MY OPERATING SYSTEM IS JESUS
HOLY SPIRIT - REPENTANCE IS YOUR REMINDER OF TRUTH
But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.
HOW TO FOSTER A RELATIONSHIP WITH HOLY SPIRIT:
PRAY IN THE SPIRIT
OBEDIENCE TO THE VOICE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
DOING REQUIRES PRACTICE
- DOING THE WORD BY THE CONVICTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS BUILDING A LIFE THAT IS ETERNAL
Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like:
He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock.
DOING WILL OFTEN PRECEDE BEING
IF YOU NEVER DO BUT ONLY BELIEVE, YOU ARE A FRAUD

DISCIPLINE - DO IT WHEN YOU DON’T WANT TO
COURAGE - DO IT AFRAID
FAILURE - DO IT UNTIL YOU GET BETTER
