Renew Your Mind

John 10:10 NKJV
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
The way our mind thinks determines so much about who we are and how we interpret life and all the things we face on a daily basis.
This is why our mind can lead us to life or death. Satan attacks our minds more than anything.
When we talk breakthrough we really mean change in our mind. Our mind is were we process things. If our processor is bad the whole system will be faulty.
Our mind determines so much of how our life is experienced.
God has much to say about our gray matter. and what is going on in there.
To experience the abundance of God in this life we need to get our minds in line with God!
Romans 12:2 NKJV
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Do not be conformed to this world, Be Transformed!
So much of our desire to be transformed and not to conform can fall short of its desired intention because we lack one critical thing.
We must renew the way we think!
This verse implies that by not renewing our minds we are conforming to this world.
By not renewing our minds we cannot experience the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
Mind here means: νοῦς -nous
The faculty of intellectual perception
The way of thinking, mind, attitude,
To conform is to be molded into something. What is molding you?
Our actions, behaviors and tendencies reflect our mold.
Colossians 3:2 AMP
And set your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.
God challenges us to get the right perception for this life.
It is not found here. It is found in the presence of God, In heaven
So much of our perception is based on things that are on the earth!
We are called to higher living, higher priorities, and a life that is full of abundance… things that are not found on this earth.
2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
Ephesians 4:22–23 NKJV
that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, and be renewed in the spirit of your mind,
Romans 8:6 NKJV
For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
Isaiah 64:8 NLT
And yet, O Lord, you are our Father. We are the clay, and you are the potter. We all are formed by your hand.
Philippians 4:8 NKJV
Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
2 Corinthians 10:3–6 NKJV
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
1 Corinthians 2:11–16 NKJV
For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God. These things we also speak, not in words which man’s wisdom teaches but which the Holy Spirit teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.
